"In the year 2004 this Refractory Industry (Misus Refractories & Allied Industries) was founded by Late Manik Sengupta by his hands-on touch with a high progressive vision. MRAI steadily maintains its growth both in size and diversity to stand today in the radically changed economic and unprecedented competitive market of Refractory Monolithics."

The primary focus is to fulfill the special operational requirements of steel plants and specialized high-heat applications. We are committed to producing high-grade Mudgun mass through state-of-the-art facilities located at Barjora, Bankura. We expand technical capacity to deliver advanced integrated systems suitable for the latest modified Blast Furnaces in India.

Company Milestones

2004

Foundation of MRAI

Established by Late Manik Sengupta in Barjora, Bankura with the vision to deliver high-quality monolithic refractories for steel, cement, glass, and metallurgical industries.

2006

First Production Capacity Expansion

Enhancement of production volume by commissioning a brand-new high-torque Muller Mixer unit.

2012

Second Muller Mixer Addition

Expanded mixing and blending capacity to keep pace with escalating order volume across West Bengal and Jharkhand steel corridors.

2019

Automated Extrusion & Improved Mixing

Installed improved design Muller Mixer and automatic extruder machine to achieve consistent clay compactness and density.

2025

Major Modernization: 2,400 MT / Month Capacity

Doubled capacity by adding 1,200 MT/month with upgraded Extruder machines (Ex-1 & Ex-2 from AMCL Nagpur and Neptune Engg Ahmedabad) with heating arrangements, automatic shrink wrapping by Sealed Air Mumbai (100% recyclable CPCB compliant film), additional vertical tar tank, weighbridge, and complete administrative facility renovation.

Mandatory Aging Period Verification

MRAI maintains expansive storage facilities for finished goods at plant premises. Prior to dispatch, an exact aging period is computed and monitored to ensure the highest product stability and customer satisfaction.
